Pain is a mechanism for the body, arises when tissue is damaged and causes individuals to react to relieve pain. Treatment pharmacologically often causes side effects so that non-pharmacological treatment becomes an option, one of which is a warm compress with lavender aromatherapy. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of warm compress therapy with lavender essential oil aromatherapy on the response to post Sectio Caesarea (SC) wound pain at RSIA Aisyiyah Samarinda. Type of Research Pre-experimental Design, the population in this study all mothers post SC in RSIA Aisyiyah Samarinda. A sample of 17 respondents. Sampling technique by accidental sampling. Data analysis techniques use univariate and bivariate analysis. The results of the paired t-test test obtained warm compress therapy with lavender essential oil aromatherapy with a p-value of 0.000 to the post SC stitch wound pain response in RSIA Aisyiyah Samarinda. There is an effect of warm compress therapy with lavender essential oil aromatherapy on the response to post sectio caesarea wound pain at RSIA Aisyiyah Samarinda. Keywords: warm compress, lavender aromatherapy, post SC suture pain

Abstrak

Nyeri merupakan suatu mekanisme bagi tubuh, timbul ketika jaringan sedang rusak dan menyebabkan individu bereaksi untuk menghilangkan nyeri. Pengobatan secara farmakologi sering menimbulkan efek samping sehingga pengobatan non farmakologi menjadi pilihan, salah satunya adalah kompres hangat dengan aromaterapi lavender. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh terapi kompres hangat dengan aromaterapi lavender essential oil terhadap respon nyeri luka post SC di RSIA Aisyiyah Samarinda. Jenis penelitian Pre-eksperimen Design, populasi dalam penelitian ini seluruh ibu post SC yang ada di RSIA Aisyiyah Samarinda. Sampel sebanyak 17 responden. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan accidental sampling. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisa univariat dan bivariat. Hasil uji paired t-test didapatkan p-value 0,000 sehingga terdapat pengaruh antara terapi kompres hangat dengan aromaterapi lavender essential oil terhadap respon nyeri luka jahitan post SC. Terdapat pengaruh terapi kompres hangat dengan aromaterapi lavender essential oil terhadap respon nyeri luka jahitan post SC di RSIA Aisyiyah Samarinda.
